I think a lot of the boats are rigged that way--if your young enough to see that would work--us old people have to have two gps,s--LOL
If you could put a GPS combo(Lowrance LMS 520c) in one place on your boat, where would it be? Console or bow? I'm thinking console for the navigation purposes and maybe put it on a Ram mount so I can turn it around when I'm up front. I'm probably going to put a Humminbird 717 at the bow. Let me know your opinions. Thanks.

Mine went on the bow as that was were I would be spending more time locating and working brushpiles. I can get close to waypoints by memory then get on the trolling motor and get over them.

Another vote for the bow. That's where I have one on my 14' Jon boat.
I too have had this problem...I think I'm going to with a handheld gps...like the 60cxs or 76cxs by garmin...then have a fishfinder up front and at console and then move the gps with me..I like this so I can use it in my truck and take it with me when I go with someone else. :D Thats the way I'm going now. I know thats not what your doing...I would put the gps at the console and turn it around to see it. I like having the gps when its foggy and dark.

lol @ canpole :D
You should mark each posistion of the three gps units with the other gps units. Then you will know where each of them is. lol j/k
I know what you mean...as I get older I tend to hide things from myself more and more.

Get a handheld Garmin in the 76 series and mount something like I have and then you can move it around in your boat as well as take it aboard others boats when you are not fishing in your boat.

I like a separate gps from my fishfinder because when you split the screen it reduces what you can see on either screen so much. I want the gps on the console so I can easily drop a marker once I locate or to mark new brushpiles.
I actually like the thought of a separate hand held, but can you run a navionics chip in them and is the screen too small to see anything well?
