    Default Stockton revisited

Went back to stockton today got on the water about 8:30 people were already on the bridge piers. Went past the piers to some brush and started to catch some fish. Stayed in front of the bridge hitting brush and sliding back to bridge to work the piers. Ended up with 15 for the day caught my last one at 3:00. Bone white and purple/chart diddnt work as well as a capps and coleman rig with minnows did this trip. Had 1 14'' and 3 around 13 -1/2'' smallest fish in picture was 10-1/2'' BatteryName: P1010001.jpg

Glad Barn joined us at Eufaula last year to learn about Capps and Coleman Riggin'. Last time I saw Ronnie Capps I thanked him for developing that rig.
Let me see. I've taught Barn one thing 'bout fishin' and he's taught me 116 things. Now if I can come up with another 115 fishin' tips he's never seen before, we'll be even.

    Excellent work Barn.

Didn't see any walleyes being caught but talked to a guy throwing a rattle trap from shore and he was trying for the eyes. He said he usually gets some there walking the bank and casting parallel to it. That area looks like some of the areas I would fish up north for them. I was spider rigging with 12' poles. The rig I was using was just a three way swivel with a short dropper and plane hook and a long dropper with a 1/2 oz barrel weight threaded on it and a 1/16 jig tied about 10'' below that you wrap the line 4 times through the weight so it dosen't move on your line. I think at spring camp we should have a show and tell on some of the rigs people use for the crappie.
