    Default Mixed bag on Stockton

Put in at CC today around 10:00 headed towards the bridge hit 2 pilings no bites. Moved past the bridge looking for brush piles or other structur to fish. Saw 1 boat sitting on a brush pile catching some nice ones. After moving around for a while found some structur threw out a marker and slowly fished it catching a couple of nice crappie and some short ones also. Did i mention the wind was blowing pretty good. I was working the edge of the river channel and flat . I was using 2 jigs on each pole 1 casting and 1 hanging straight down. Orange and chartreuse jigs in 1/16 with purple/chart. on orange jig and bone white on chart.

    2 Drum
    1 10# carp
    2 stripers
    1 catfish
    14 crappie
1 walleye 28'' 9# 18'' girth on the chart. with white and a nibble. Hit next to the bridge piling. I only had my EGO net for crappie. I had it in the net half wat out of the water and it jumped out. Fought it again to the top and this time I got it in the net and got it in the boat. All this in front of other boats tied up to the bridge supports. It was on my 5' ul with 6# test. What a rush. Going to start carring 2 nets in the boat. This is the second time I need a bigger net for a walleye on Stockton. Some one said after a fish like that it's time to go home and that's what I did at 3:00 I was off the water.Name: P1010005.jpg
