weird stuff fishing last Sat.
Long story short, launched at daybreak last Sat. from Engineer's point,
Sardis, ran up to Clear Creek. Was easing along about 25 mph, and
kept running through what I think was clouds of hardshell bugs...
got so bad I reached and got a pair of safety glasses I keep in the boat
for late evening bug runs and put 'em on. They was stingin pretty good,
and lots of 'em.
When I got up there and started fishing, got to noticing what looked like
little drops of road tar all over the seat, top of motor, rod holders, etc.
Gummy, sticky, bluish-green junk. Each little splotch had a swirl on it
like the top of a soft-serve ice cream - or the Shoney big boys's hair :D
Hung over and looked under the bow of the boat, and it was COVERED in
the stuff. I ran through some road construction on the way to the lake,
so naturally I'm thinking road tar. But then the next day, I'm picking the
stuff off the hat I had on fishing... whatever it was, got it on the lake.
I may have had an arm out the truck window, but not my head
What the heck? Anybody have this happen - that'll admit to it?
