    Default High Rock 10-10-08

well here is my report from " The Rock ". me and c-more put in @ Tamarac around 7 am. went to try some casting on a few piers. caught a nice 10 incher first thing, then the rest were around 9-9 1/2. ended up catching around 9 or so . once it got a little more lighter, we went to the main channel to tightline. got set up in 15 ft. of water and could only find dinks. nothing but 9's . tried some of our good spots that has been producing and still dinks. now we knew we were going to have to work for 'em today.went up channel to try slip-corking some deeper piers. got on one and man! one fish after another. minnows, jigs ( anything w/ chart. in it ) didn't matter. the only thing was they were all the same 9 - 10 in. THIS IS NOT FUNNY so we left that spot. so we headed for the other side of channel to troll again. started in 14ft and maintained that depth. before you know it ,the fist nice fish bit. a nice 12 in.'er. then started to pattern them a bit a caught around 26 all in the 10 1/2 - 12 in. range and fat. threw all back so they can be caught for the social. it was hard out there today,no doubt. camera went dead on me ,but did get a few pics.

Even on the Rock you have to work for them sometimes.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Dang Keeper It Sounds Like Both Lakes Are About In The Same Stage. Fun Though. Love To Hunt Them. Our Fish Were Really Feeding Up. Nice Job On Hanging In There And Finding Quality Fish.
