I'm a nightstalker, but tried to fish in the sun this weekend.
Drug minnows through brushpiles for 10 hours sat. Bite was fair from 8 to 11, then slowed considerably. Picked back up about 3:30 till 6:30.
Used weedless jig with minnow & had to cast across brush & let it fall into pile. Fish were tight or inside brush. Bites came when you drug across a limb & let it fall deeper into the pile. Tough way to fish, & most were small.
Caught about 50, mostly small fish, with only 10 over 8". Fished brush from 8' deep to 25' deep. Caught fish at all depths, just a few off each pile.
Went back Sunday, thinking maybe some bigger fish had pulled up into tree laps. Fished shallow for about 5 hours, dragging jigs through trees. Never found em. 0 crappie, bunches of bream.
If they are doing the same there as on High Rock then they are scattered. Try trolling or tightlining the same area.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
