Default Took the kids to Oak Hollow Tuesday, Oct 1

Set up spider rigging around the 311 bridges and hit a couple other spots with no success on the crappie. Put a few white perch in the boat and decided to try for cats. Did put a few cats in the boat before we had to leave. Wind was tough all day, but the cooler weather made for very comfortable fishing. Zach caught one on Emily's rod that I had a question on. Is the third pic a striper or hybrid? The fourth pic was funny. I was trying to get a pic of Zach and his fish when my rod went off. In the pic Z is turning to look and the rod is already bending. Had a great day out with the kids. Between work, school, church, hunting season, etc. its tough to get away, but it sure was a good day. Wife had the day off getting her hair done and shopping.

Thanks, we fished around 311 for the crappie/perch. Got a few bites out on the hump in the main lake, but the wind tore us up. Caught fish in the creek that goes up to Skeep Club Rd. bridge.

Yupon the hybrid.. From what I understand is that when you stripes are broken like that you have a hybrid.

That's what we figured, but I thought the hybrids had a more "football" look to them. We caught some stripers on the Roanoke River this year that had some "broken" stripes on them, but not to the extent these were.
