Default Got my first of the year about two weeks before season...

...I was enroute to the lake before daylight and two does jumped out with me doin' 35 mph w/the boat behind me. I dodged the first but the second, well, she just shoulda stayed put.

I hit her square on the left side with the center of the front bumper. NO DAMAGE to the new GMC, praise the Lord, but she bled out internally in about five minutes.

I "rednecked" her, threw her in the back of the pick-up, circled the wagons and and back to the house I went, depositing her in the boat stall and locking it up to keep the dogs away.

Promptly went back to the lake where Lil' Brother was waiting for me, hands on hips. "Where ya been? It's about time--30 minutes after daylight and all..." "Well, it's like this bro; I had to kill me a deer before I came fishin'."

We fished until late afternoon and I went home and cleaned me a deer.

NOW, with meat in the freezer I can concentrate on the fall crappie and not worry so much about wanting to be two places at the same time, savvy??
