No one person shall possess more than one creel limit while on the water or on the shore.
Two men in a boat = 10 fish total per person if fishing on Ky Lake? Or each is allowed 20 a piece? Always confused me!
Regulations go into effect March 1, 2009
Twice the daily creel limit for all species with one.
No one person shall possess more than one creel limit while on the water or on the shore.
no one shall possess more than two times the daily limit of unprocessed fish at any time at camp.
You CAN return home with more than the possession limit if the fish have been cleaned and its more than a two day fishing trip.
This is in the Ky Game and Fish Mag this month Page 12

You can't finish what you don't start
ANY possession/creel limit is in regards to EACH single person ... so a daily creel limit on KY Lake, w/2 people in the boat ... is 40 Crappie. Possession limit for 2 days would be 80 Crappie. 3 days or more ... you're allowed to bring home "more than the (previous) possession limit law would have allowed" if they're cleaned (max of 20/person times the number of anglers times the number of days fished).
One angler would be allowed 20 Crappie per day, times the number of days fished (and I'm sure they mean "consecutive" days), as their "possession limit". And if you're stopped and checked, you'd better have proof of how long you stayed
Probably meant to draw out of state anglers, to come fish KY waters. Plus, keep KY anglers within the state.

Thanks CP! Makes a big difference if we are going to drive that far.

I like that word "unprocessed". So if you process the fish, you can keep on fishin'! Just lookin' for a loophole.
The only way to have a good fishing spot is to make it yourself!
The only loophole is that you can take a daily limit (of cleaned fish) home, for every consecutive day you're on the water. Haven't read the new ruling, but it would seem that you can eat some, while still "in camp", and still take home a possesion limit equal to 20/person/day spent. You just can't have more than two days limit, unprocessed (not cleaned), while still in camp.
Nothing on the KDFWR website, yet.
