I'm not fishing much yet. Tried a couple of weeks ago and got skunked but with the cool fronts coming and the water starting to cool and opening dove season done I will be fishing as much as I can soon.

I quit on Smith lake a week or so ago. Them fish dont eat!

Its cooling a bit now. I may go to Catoma soon.
I'm kinda eager to try out my new sliding rowing seat.

How about fly fishing for Crappie? When does that start?
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

As far as the fly fishing for crappie it will never start for me. In case any of you are interested the Coosa River Crappie Club will hold a tournament on Saturday at Neely Henry. From what I am seeing on the weather forcast it is going to miserable, hot and humid.

    Default Coosa River Club

Fished the Tournament on Sat. other than the heat it was a good day. Caught about 40 keepers, but all were just solid keepers no big fish. Weighted in 6.97 lb. When I left about 8 1/2 was leading, and I was way out of the running. GOOD FISHING, Terry.

    You caught 40 (fourty?) keepers?
Cripes I've been down here in the sunny south for three or four years and have not caught ONE Crappie.
What are you rubbin on those hooks?
