lake houston crappie moveing back to deep water

fished the river the 15th with my son we had 27 keeper crappie to 15-1/2 inches. Mostly females that had spawned out and moved out along the river.
we caught them around brush tops in 10 to 12 foot depth.
fished pearl and red/chartruse jig tails on 1/8 oz jig heads.
in the river north of lake.
