Anybody fishing Ky lake Saturday that didn't catch fish should take up basket weaving.

Went out late Friday and found them. Brenda and I went out Saturday morning and caught over 100 fish. We kept the big ones. We culled a lot of fish.

Didn't see any politicians or Olympians on the water...We had the water to ourselves all morning.

We were in the Jon boat. Easy fishing.

Had a large time.

Man Canepole, you make it sound as it is around here right before the spawn! Water temps here in the middle/upper 80's. What kind of conditions are you fishing in? How deep? What bait? etc., etc.

That is a nice mess of fish. I love to look in the bucket when the beaks are touching one side and the tails are bent on the other.

Just think how good of a day it would be in a War-Eagle. LOL
Glad you had a great day. If it keeps up, I may have to get someone to haul me up there and dump me out.

That would be just fine Pete. We might get lucky. Maybe get the boat next week. My Vexilar flasher showed up today. We can hook it up at the boat dock and watch fish swim by.;)

Dadgummit, those thangs look healthy!!

Now this is the kind of post that gets me to goin' once again.

So what kind of temps are you fishin' right now?

After some rain up here in Arkansas, the waters cooled to the mid-80's but the bite has been s l o w. The thermocline is about 24' right now, so Thursday I'm gonna take out a couple more tops and once I have them planted, I'm gonna find me some good, long, gentle-sloping points going into deep water. THEN, I hope to concentrate at the 20-22 foot level on those points with a two-hook Kentucky rig. I dunno what else to do.

I reckon if the fish can't be found again, I'll just add to the waypoints since the lake is down 4.5 feet.

Thanks for postin' and letting me see what a crappie looks like. It's been a while and it's time for a fish fry!
