Wow nice looking fish
Took my friend, Coach Christensen, the Tigers offensive coordinator, and his son out fishing this weekend on LOZ. They both love to fish and this is his last free weekend for a LONG time as the Tigers kick it into high gear next week in preparation for kicking some a#@ on the gridiron this season.
Fished the Glaize on Fri. a.m. and had 34 between 6:00 and 9:30. Verticle jiggin slab busters in brushpiles in 14 to 16 ft. of water. Fish were 8 to 10 ft. deep. Water clarity about 2 ft. Water temp. was 80 to 82. Color of jig didn't seem to matter. Used pearl, blue/white, red/white, blue /chart., and a nibble, of course.
Below are a couple of pictures of our Fri. morning catch.
Went below Bagnell Dam Sat. morning and it SUCKED! We caught one crappie between the 3 of us. Only stayed there about an hour and a half and pulled out and went back to the Glaize. Caught another 33 and then the wives and daughters made us come back to the condo and take them out in the pontoon boat.
All in all, we had a great time.
GO TIGERS!
