Went down to visit my step-son and his wife and Jerry and I fished a couple of days out of his boat. Had to rest in between trips, done got too old and got a bad back. Jerry and Joni had gone the day before we got there and got their limit of red snapper, four. The water had gotten a little dirty by Monday at least that is our excuse. Monday we brought home 3 snapper, caught them as soon, 24" and 2 22" fish, had another one 16" the size limit but because we caught the others so quick we threw it back and did not get another bite. Wed. we went back and caught 3 snapper, 24" 23" & 22" and 3 very nice gray triggerfish. Had a good time but sure got beat up, rough getting old.

The gulf can be bad on a young back. Catch a couple of 40-60 lbs fish at about 500 ft of water then your back will fill it.
