Good post whitbassin. Some of the females I caught at the Glaize wed. were about ready to drop. I'd say next week with the warm weather they should be well on the banks.
not new to the board-but new to posting, fished the gravois today ended with 2 limits on nice male crappie, only had 2 females out of 30- using cork and jig, blk/chart,orange/chart. slabuster jigs set about 18" below the cork. they weren t on the bank probably 6 to 8 ft out in 10 ft of water . the wind didn t help much , fished in indian creek mostly, i believe the next few days is going to awesome, time is near. don t know how to post pictures yet.
dale - like crappie too

Fishin' is cheaper than a psychiatrist.
Whitbassin,
First, welcome to the site!
Second, good job on the catch
Was out for a very short time on the Big Niangua, and the wind was terrible. Found a few, lost a few with a big ole wind bow in the line. All the females I cleaned were still full of mushy eggs and the males are blacker than black.
Again, Welcome.
Mark
Pitching jigs, catching slabs, life is good
