    Question High Water

I just back from 3 days at the lake. The lake is 10+ feet above normal, but the surface temp was from 61 to 66 degrees. I could not find any crappie trying to spawn, male female or anyone. My question is with the surface water fluctuating up and down as far as the rain coming in and the corp having the dam open will the crappie try to spawn on the orginal bank, which is now 10 foot down, and if they do will the water temp at that level need to be spawning temp.
Crappie don't sleep, is that why I'm so tired?

If Darrel Morris sees this thread he might could chime in. Seems like I can remember him telling me he looked for them in all of the likely spots only to find the beds once the lake drew down to summer pool last year. The beds were high and dry by then and he figured he was fishing 10 to 12 feet shallow during the spawn.
