Default Weiss Lake cats/are they safe

Had a slow day crappie fishing but still brought back some. Also hooked some cats trolling. Largest was 5.7 pounds. Someone at the ramp said they were not safe to eat and there was a warning on the Ala power web site about pc levels. I cannot find the info. Anyone know if they are safe???
