    cruise,

I don't know much bout 60ft water. but I have fished we the best boo boyes in Arkansas. Jerry and Derryl. They know all about it and how it works. Don't know where you are from but, the deepest I have seen any is about 30ft or so. It should work for hot summer time crappies as well.

I can't imagine trying to stay on a brushpile in 60 feet of water. I wouldn't put it in more than 25.....and don't care to fish THAT deep. Put it in the center, near the mouth and near the creek channel of a major cove and the crappie in that area will use it most of the year.

I don't think you need to go quite that deep. If you can drop in 45 to 50', make sure the bamboo is tall, like 15 to 20' tall. Crappie will susbend in the top during summer and winter. You can titeline over the brush and fish 30' deep. My secret is to wire a plastic jug to the top of the bundle of bamboo so it stands straght up off the bottom. You can get off to the side and fish all the way to the bottom. For a real treet, set up some lights during the hot summer and fish this with lights, you can see the fish come up with a good sonar.
    I don't fish because I want to, I fish because I HAVE to !
