Just don't snag it with your line on accident.. could put a damper on your fishing trip pretty quick.

I had an inflatable boat for awhile. I enjoyed it because it was so light and easy to put in small ponds. If you get one though, be prepared to be pushed around alot. The wind really likes those things.

I say they have there purpose, but like LSU said hooks and inflatables would not mix.

Take your kids hunting and fishing, and you won't be hunting your kids

I don't know about hooks, but a cat can do major damage.

Personally, for small water, I'd opt for a kayak. They're usually as light sometimes even lighter than an inflatable, and most importantly, a misplaced hook won't sink it. If you can find one with a good protective layer over the blow-up parts (like they have on good float tubes), or maybe military grade skinning (like the inflatables the SEAL teams use), an inflatable might be worthwhile, but if I had to guess something like that would be really pricey.

EDIT: I just took a look at those Water Skeeter and Outcast inflatables. The pontoon ones look like they're made for small water fishing. The seat is high enough off the pontoons to where you'd be a bit less likely to put a hook in one of them. I was picturing one of those zodiac style inflatables - way too much surface area available for wayward hooks or a dropped knife to find. Those pontoon units look like they'd be good for small water on calm days. I'd still prefer a kayak, but those boats would seem work.
