Default Lowrance Fishing Hotspots .vs.Navonics Hotmaps

I plan to buy a Lowrance H2o but cant decide which map card to buy .The Lowrance maps look like you get more lakes "especially the ones i fish "and is about 40.00 cheaper .Anyone have either of these?

    Thanks: Jon

    Jon,
I just purchased the navionics for my Lowrance XOG. I just got it today, so I haven't had a chance to play around with it. The reason I went with Navionics was that they have Illinois and Tenn. on the same chip, where as Lowrance has them on separate chips. (Just the way they divide up the regions). I fish primarily in IL, but take a yearly trip to Reelfoot and didn't want to have to buy 2 chips. When you decide to buy, look on Ebay. I got mine for half the price of new! (and mine IS new)

    Default Lowrance vs. Navionics

I have both, but with an LEI Card Reader for about $30.00 and a free downloaded emulator LCX-26 from Lowrance you can study the FHS on your computer at home. Same type reader from Navionics cost closer to $100.00.

The Navionics will run alot slower and will not zoom in as close as the Hotspot. The Hotspot was specially designed to run with these units.

I also bought the X06. I was looking on ebay and they list the Lowrance card as # 108-206 and on the Lawrence website it is 108-207. how did your numbers match up. I saw on ebay they are $60. i just want to be sure I get the pre-loaded card.
