Do you have to use a base coat before you apply the glow powder paint? I tried using the glow powder as is but it is to dark and no glow.

make sure you stir the powder up very good, if your useing any color other than glow white its best to coat twice, once with white then your glow color. if you get your jig head to hot then you can burn the phosphorescent pigment in it and it wont glow well. the new superglow powders from tjtackle will glow for an hour
LEN,
I have been using glow powder for a while and I always use a white base. All the powder coat companies recommend a white base. I have been adding extra raw glow to the glow powders for extra glow. Here is a link to raw powder . http://glowinc.com/SearchResult.aspx...FQKPPAodxQdIbg

Len I also agree with the other guys but I like to base coat the same color as the glow will be.Seems to make them a little brigher glow that way.Just my .02 cents
If I wanted blue as my glow color and use white as my base coat do I heat the jig head and apply the base coat and immediately apply the glow paint?
do the base first then let it cure then do the second coat
