    Default Slider Grubs

I bought my first two packs of slider grubs recently. Both supposed to be 1.5". The solid white was about 1.5", and the watermelon/chart are just over 2"! I was just wondering if this has happened to anyone else using Charlie Brewers. And if there were any guesses as to what caused it. Didn't know if all the "fused" (two tone) were longer than the solid color, or maybe it was just mislabled.

All mine are 1.5". Are you sure you bought the crappie slider and not the bass slider?

I don't think that I would worry too much about it. If it is really a big deal to you just take them back to the store you bought them at.

If it was your first two packs ever you are in for a treat. Go ahead and get the weedless slider heads too. I use the combo almost exclusivley for fishing for crappie. You can't beat being able to throw those jigs into or just past a brushpile or stick-up and be able to slide it over limbs without getting hung up.

The only downside I found is that there not the best for vertical jigging or fishing under a bobber. The tails just don't put out much action unless the fished horizontally.

    Enjoy them!

just may have been a packaging error,,,do what i do most of the time and pinch off the end till you get the length you want,,,i do this most of the time when the head gets torn up and sometimes this smaller package works better

    That was my reply also.

It's not really a big deal, I am just curious. Might affect what size I buy in the future.

Sliders are a little higher than normal jigheads but you will not lose as many with them being weedless. I would just go with the extra length and fish away. I use to use nothing but Sliders. For casting to the bank in spring they can't be beat.

I use the Charlie Brewer sliders all the time most any color works. We found you can rig them on a 1/16 round jig head they work just as good you can go their web site get a box with 1000 about 30 different colors for $65.00 its a real nice kit
