Default Ditched High Rock and ended up at Jordan 2/9/08

My wife and I left the house in the morning and got there around 9:30am... picked a random spot near the bridge and pulled up 8 with all of them 11" or better and one of them being almost 15". Saw another boat out there pullin them up also but the bite was slow. Got checked by one of the two Game Warden boats out there then the wind picked up so we left and stopped at a random cove and caught one being 11" with a bunch of fish on the depth finder. Then the wind picked up there, we lost an anchor and couldn't hold the boat in one spot long enough so we left there and went to fish near one of the landings. Caught 19 more there with maybe three being a hair over 10", some of them 10 1/2" and the rest were 11" or better. We threw back a bunch that were 9 1/2" and they did put up a fun little fight! Ran out of minnows, didn't feel like going to get more for the second time around and decided to come home

    Here some pics..

A little drive-by shooting, but there weren't as many people as we expected to be out there...

Most of the people had left...

Our rinky dink livewell... I think we need a new boat with a bigger one....

A challenging and windy day but came home with 28, at least it was a fun trip!

Did better than we did. Ended up with 9 keepers. Finally got on a school that seemed semi eager to eat and the wind kept draggin us off of them. 32' of water with 35' of anchor road just wont cuttin it lol. Good job. Glad to see somebody with some meat.

That's the reason I 300 feet of rope on one anchor and 250 on the other.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Wasnt my boat. I got 100 on each of mine....The boat we were on is primarily used in the river above dry rock where the water aint that deep. It's ok...by the time the anchor started draggin we were about ready to go anyway.

Good pics, especially the second one. That's crappiehawk & me in the Tracker, mudman, his dad & friend in the Crestliner near bridge. Guess we were the only ones without sense enough to give it up. Caught 10 keepers there from 8 to 2. After that we drifted around a couple of hundred yards above the bridge. Found some fish, anchored out & got 8 more before we left at 5. Should have moved sooner. I think we ended up with 41 between the two boats. Wish I had known that was you, would have come over & said hello.

With that many boats around if you put out much anchor rope someone anchors over top of it & hangs up in your rope. Had that happen a couple of times last week.
