Yes they still catch a lot over there. I did hear they were doing well, but I didn't go as that is a long way from me.
Did the Chicken Coop in T Bend turn on this year? That was the place to go this time of year when I was a kid; 40 years ago. I went about 15 years ago and still loaded my well. I was just wondering if it was still as productive.

I think Skip is going on old news. The chicken coop has been a big fat zero this year.
I can't even figure out how deep or where the crappie are.
Skip, do you have any report on how deep to look?

This is the most accurate report.

From what I was told they were there at one time. I don't know if they caught any after the one time I ask about the chicken coop. I really have not kept up on how they did through out the winter. I did hear some were catching a lot there, but I don't even remember when that was. I would think with the warm weather that came in between the cold that maybe they move to creeks.Originally Posted by EarlG
I did hear about some guys doing well in 20' of water not that long ago. If I remember it right they caught them 10' down was all. This was supposed to be around the 6 Mile area where I live. Actually that came from the Game Wardens and I think they were fishing them selves.
Other than that I have not really ask about them much lately. I have just been waiting on Spring as I am not a big winter fisherman. I wouldn't be surprised if when I heard about people catching them at the Coop may have been more than a month back and probably was.
EarlG is right about old news as I have not heard anything is a while.
