    Question Leader for braided line

Do you use a leader on braided line while jig fishing or does it matter?

I never use one, but some people swear that you need to. Matter of personal preference in my opinion.

I really don't think you do either. I've used powerpro braid for many years. If crappie will bite yellow or red mono they certainly will not turn away from green braid in very small diameter.

When I use braid I use the yellow Power Pro 10-3. No leader, fish don't seem to mind at all.
    Good fishing.

Never use a leader with the braids. The fish don't care one way or the other.

They do on my home lake here in PA. I've fished fireline and powerpro in small diameters and cant get the fish to bite. I've even tried that new stren braid and it didn't produce either. I use stren clear and hammer the crappies. Dont know why but i cant get em on the braids. If i'm slow trolling microspoons on braid, i always use a 12" to 18", 4# test leader and a swivel.
