I was cruising round the internet today checking up on any upgrades for my electronics stuff.

1. Garmin downloads.
No prerequisites. Downloads any updates for any equipment.

2. Lowrance downloads.
No prerequisites. Downloads and updates for any equipment.

3. Raymarine downloads.
No prerequisites. Downloads and updates for any equipment.

4. Humminbird downloads.
Requires product registration. Sucks.

If you buy any Humminbird stuff used, updating the units may present a problem.

The Humminbird warranty is not transferable.

This is total bull Humminbird aka Johnson Outdoors. Oughta be ashamed of yourselves.

Tom It only took me a few minute to get my updates. Also it keeps up with all your updates and even tells you when you check in if you need to update.
Now If i can get mine where I can use it here at the desk. That would be great.

If your unit was not registered, you couldn't do this in a couple of minutes. I was refering to the used/secondary market stuff here Pete.
