Sounds like your transducer is unlevel or the motor is blocking it.
I have the 997c SI. When the si is set to 800khz the right side is much darker then the left, and not very clear resolution. I switched to 455khz and the picture is much clearer, but the left side is slightly darker. I SLOW troll, about .4-.6 mph. I do have the screen speed set at 2. If I slow it to one will that further sharpen my picture?
By the way love the unit, I can see my homemade cover as if it were on a black and white tv.

What is the best fix for LOW VOLTAGE MESSAGE ON HUMM. 997 AND 595. aLREADY HAVE 3 OPTIMA BATTERIES. Thinking of troll fury and a alternator for batteries.
FISH-ON!!!!!
Check all your connections and wiring back to the battery for any signs of corrosion or loose connections.

Trolling too slow maybe. Check recommended troll speed for SI.

Level to transducer and that will fix it. Also level it in the water. Or do as I did it. Block up a level out on the water. Then when you get back home level it the same way. Then when you level the transducer its right.
Or do you have any other transducer on the right side of that one? Anything in the way will also do it.

I never had this problem until I switched to an OPTIMA for my cranking/house battery. Now I get low voltage advisory quiet often.Originally Posted by Quicksilver1958
