sounds like the weather people where you are at are not much better at pred. the weather than the ones in springfield... never been to mark twain is it bad in the wind.
Got up early saturday and checked the weather channel. Looked like a wall of water headed to the lake. Husband asked "How does it look?". I said wet. Decided not to make the 2 hour drive. Later in them morning the rain was at Jefferson City. We had a couple of hours to fish. Took the nearly acquired jet down to the Meramac. First trip with that boat. Took a bare amount of fishing equipment. Husband caught a dink smallmouth and I caught 1 goggle-eye and a dink smallmouth. Rain never did show up. It dried up before it got to us AGAIN. The weatherman from St. Louis said that sunday it was suppose to be windy. Gusts 20 mph. Scratch Twain again. Don't need extra wind up there. Went to the Missouri and caught a few small drum and cats. Maybe Twain this weekend.

MT will always get bad when its windy...and its always windy at MT! :D
Been caught in 1 storm on MT. Don't want to do that again. Had to come across the main lake and back to South Fork ramp. It was wet, wild & scarey. Got back to the ramp and had big problems getting to boat on the trailer. The wind was blowing into the ramp and sending water over the back of the boat when getting it back on the trailer.
