I was told Crappiethon will not be having tourn. next year. They can't compete with Crappiemasters. Is there truth to this?
FISH-ON!!!!!
Crappiethon went out of business several years ago.Crappie USA was spun off of it.My hat goes off to Crappiemasters.Send me a pm and I share my experiences with both circuits Ive had over the last 18 years of fishing tournaments.PJ
The pay outs for crappie usa is nothing like crappie masters. Cusa doesn't
share with it's members, and from what I here from a couple of the top winners, cusa is losing members and on a down hill course.
I think it's terrible that you can place in cusa top 5, and still may not win enought money to pay your expense.
The cusa local tournament's really suck on pay outs, no boat and trailer prize
or big money. They just don't share like crappie master's. This is my opion, and I have a right to have one, so please don't jump me.
srm
Send a pm and I will be glad to tlak to you about my experiences with CUSA.

I agree with spider rig man. Except I have placed 5th and not even drawed a check. CRAPPIE MASTERS gives out BASS PRO gift certificates at every tourney along with many other prizes. My hat`s off to Paul Alpers for trying to making competive crappie fishing worth while. CRAPPIEMASTERS IS TRYING TO GET ONE POLE TOURNEYS STARTED WITH REALLY NICE PAYOUTS. Folks this is the next step to crappie tourneys to really get big!!!! Please support these touneys they neede a guaranteed a number of fisherman by Sept. or we lose these tourneys sponsors for another year at least.
You can fish with one pole now if you want to :D
and I'm not joking, sometimes I think that may be the best strategy
if the fish are deep in the brush and or biting real light...
but the walleye guys are paying out big bucks still fishing with more than
one rod and my gosh, even live bait. I don't see the reasoning behind this
line of thought.
As for Crappiemasters, I might think about it if they fished this area.
I may have missed something, but did look over the schedule I thought
and didn't see Pickwick, Tenn-Tom, even Kentucky Lake?
