Have you found a boat yet for your "project"? My son has an 8 ft "mighty might", that was built in the '50's. It only weighs about 60 to 70 pounds, I will try to get a picture or two for you if you are interested. The price is right as he will give it to you, and no strings attached.

ok, may take couple days, but will get pics soon as we can. boat is stored in barn and only a dirt lane to it, very muddy right now.
