Wish I had a picture, one of my neighbors found two Lg mouth bass on the shore, the big one was about 6lbs and had been trying to swallow about a 4 lb lg mouth. He had it mounted, it creeped me out when I was little (4 or 5)
That is one mean mussel!! Makes you wonder about dipping your toes in

I had the same experince a couple of years back while crappie fishing with my daughter. The water was really clear and I saw some movement under the side of the boat. I used my dip net and brought up about a 2 lb bass trying to swallow a 1lb bass. After getting them apart and releasing them we thought that was kind of dumb as we had two cameras in the boat and took no picture.

A co-worker who fishes our local lakes every chance all year for bass, says he finds nice bass floating on top now and then with a catfish stuck in their throat, front fin spines jabbed through their throat, killing them. These bullhead catfish got some mighty sharp spines, sides and top. Which makes me wonder when I see people noodeling up those big cats, do they have fin spines too? They don't seem to, or those folks would get stabbed to death!
    I have a jig with a face like this!
