I personally would just use 4 legs.Fish are poor counters. Woul.d work as good and less tying.
Ok this is the first High-Viz Ant I ever tied and I can see things that can be better for sure and I have got to get faster with this, but what do you people think?
Will the bream eat this thing up or what?
This is a #10 hook to relate to size...

Skip,
I told you that you make great lures and take a good photo. I think it would work. I also put some different photos on my thread "It ain't no use if it ain't Chartreuse" http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showthread.php?t=43308
By the way I can't wait to see your photos when your new digital camera arrives. You do good work.

Hey Skip, looks nice. I can't see any reasons it wouldn't attract the fish.
Skip, I have been tying alot of various foam flys this year with good success. I can't tell exactly what kind of foam that is, but you might want to bulk up the body a tad. I will post a pic of some of mine too.

Looks good! Only 1 way to tell though and thats get out and use it! Skip is that a dry fly or a wet fly?
Cicada:
Gurgler:
All pretty easy to tie and work great. I have alot of smaller beetles and wasps too. If you build a wing like the one on the Cicada but higher, it acts just like a lip on a crankbait.

Less legs and longer, thats my vote. Used to do alot of fly fishing and it seemed the longer legs work better. More water displacement and a little more visual.
Its all about how ya wiggle it!
It's a high-Viz Ant foam that comes in several sizes and this one it 1/16", but it looks smaller to me.
Species I have some more foam I am going to try out, but this one is meant to be like this except I think maybe I can do the legs better.
I am going to do some Chernobyl Ants and then I need some more cutters for other critters.
Les legs, yes....longer? it's is the way it's supposed to be done I think.
Thanks everyone,
Skip
