Condo Regs In SC???

Are there any rules regarding the placing of crappie habitat in SC reservoirs? I want to put some small bamboo condos & maybe a Christmas tree or two in Hartwell? Is this legal? Is a permit required?

I'm pretty sure you can put christmas trees in. I've heard of poeple doing that for a long time. And seen a story in the paper of DNR collecting them to make beds in the lakes. As far as the exact rules of where you can or cannot put them I would like to know myself. The only thing I would think that there may be some regulations on is how shallow they can be put, especially bambo if it was right under the surface of the water.

I used to fish Hartwell alot until I moved to the Charleston area 25 years ago. I had 2 uncles who owned houses on Hartwell. I remember my uncles talking about having to sneak around to build crappie beds. I think the Army Corp lakes have regulations about building crappie beds. To be sure, you will have to check.
