Here are some of the stripers we caught.
Some buddies and I booked an excursion on Lake Anna.
We didn't realize at the time that it would be Mother's Day.
Thank God we didn't get skunked that day or else there would have been h*ll to pay with the wives/mother's. Good striper action, but tough day for crappie. This was the only crappie caught that day.

Nice looking stripers. Now how you pulled off fishing on mother's day, I can't figure out. That would get me a head stone. :D
And the promise of plenty of striper filets.:p
The parents already had a busy day planned with friends,
so I was off the hook (so to speak).
By the way.....welcome aboard!
Nice fish! I've only been to Lake Anna once and was skunked! One of those 100 degree no wind blazing sun days, looks like you had a much better time! Welcome!
What makes a better lightning rod than a graphite fishing rod? NOTHING!
Buffy, check with McCotter's Guide service and ask for Doug Ball. He always puts us on the fish, plus he's a great guy.
Thanks! It's always good to have a name, but heck if I can't catch fish I can catch rays.... anytime on the water is good.

You must have a really nice family to let you go fishing on Mother's Day. Anytime you show your appreciation for your loved ones is a blessing. Perhaps this was their way of showing their love for you.
Way to go.

I don't mind sharing some Va water but I'm bamboozeled as to why you came here when you are surrounded the best fishing on the east coast over in "Merland"? Anywho nice catch!
