You need to get back to the doctor ASAP. My wife had that surgery a few months ago and after a couple weeks was back to normal. Well normal for her.
I doubt anyone here knows much on the subject, but I'm in dire need of some help.
I had severe inguinal hernia surgery about 2 years ago, and I've had hindering pain since then. I had the mesh pad repair, and many models of the mesh have been recalled. I'm uncertain if one of the recalled pads was used on me. I got the pain in my groin area checked around Christmas, but the surgeon said it was probably growing pains or scarred tissue, but at that point I was getting it checked for recurrance, not that my mesh was causing harm. In the past few days, the pain has gotten unbearable, and I still have two weeks of school left, including exams and several projects.
For the past few days, I've had intense pain in the groin area where I had the surgery, and I'm also having lower abdominal pain.
Has anyone here had inguinal hernia surgery, and did you experience these symptoms this long after the operation? I'm just looking for something to put my mind at ease.

Will fish for food!
I just got back from a doctor I've never been to, and he said the hernia hadn't recurred and it was probably a pulled groin. I think this is BS, unless I've had a pulled groin for 2 years. This is the 3rd doctor that's told me this, and they give me a pain medicine that doesn't effect it at all. I swear, it's like I'm in primitive times and I'm with Indian witch doctors.

Most Doctors do not want to touch another ones work. Maybe an attorney could get some action. Did they xray or just blow it off. Sometimes things get left inside. A groin pull can be painfull and linger. lol
Today is a great day
If you have any chance to talk to a RN, you may get a better idea of what's going on, and how or where to go to get it worked on right. These days there are far too many Drs. who would let you stay in pain forever rather than fix their mistake. Insurance, tort, lawyers, etc... all weigh on their minds too much. A good nurse will tell you like it is, they've seen all the mistakes those Doctors make, and they make a lot of them.
I have a jig with a face like this!
Get it fixed asap! Luckly got mine fixed, Hieanal, before that new stuff came out! Good Luck
I don't know anything about this subject, but it doesn't sound right. Try getting on the Arkansas board and send CEB a pm, he is currently going to school to be a RN or a doctor, I don't remember which. If he caint answer, I am sure he can find out something for you. Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out.
You can't fish with a hung line!
If you stop and think, Doctors and the makers of the medicines we take do not really want to find cures for anything. They would loose tooooo much money. They are making a killing by not really finding cures for anything. Besides, They are all tooooooooooooo specialised now to even try to fix problems for anyone. You go to one Doctor and your problem is not in his field, so he sends you to another Doctor so you will have two to pay nowadays. Used to you went to your family doctor and he could fix almost problem you had, but not now.
