    I posted this in the VA forum but figured we all can learn from it. I think I'll start wearing some eye protection fishing.

    There were a few times when I was younger and catfishing with some friends (drinking a ton of beer) that i'm surprised that wasn't a result.

    Dang !!!! Oh My that hurts... I was fishing a few years back with freinds in a boat and one of the guy to my right changed his casting direction and took my glasses off along with my hat, as he cast. The hook didn't touch the skin but I know it was close. Lost a nice pair of glasses and a freind. :o
