Lightbulb Water temps on your lake?

This should be a pretty interesting thread.
It may give all some insight about how water temps affect the bite.
How about telling the different temps of different areas on the
lake you last fished. And what lake? Maybe even elaborate some about where on the lake you caught fish.

It may give us all some insight about how the temps effects the bite. I surely need insight. :o

    I'll start it.

Lavon in North Texas was 65-68 degrees this afternoon. We had 22 keepers caught 1-3' deep.

Lake Russell, Ga. & South Carolina border. Warm 80 degree days in the spring had risen the surface temps to @ 72 degrees and the fish were biting like mad. Cold front (temps in lower 50's/upper 20's) with plenty of rain moved in for several days and brought the surface temps back to @ 60-62 degrees. Fish shut off (atleast for me) as the temps were falling but now it looks like lake temps have stabilized and warmer days are here (hopefully to stay) and the water should be back on the rise. I'm looking for full coolers very soon! I think I saw where the temp was supposed to hit 80 degrees again by Sunday unless that's changed lately.

Rend Lake in southern IL is about 60 degrees after the last cold front we had move through. The fish are doing pretty good just a few more days of warm weather and they will be doing great. Just now starting to move shallow.

Lake Shelbyville - East Central Illinois - Surface temperature yesterday was 50 degrees in upper end of lake. Caught around 20 crappie in depths of 9 to 11 feet, holding tight to brush. Only two of the fish went over 10 inches.
