Hi all...
New to this forum and new to crappie fishing. Just moved to Lake Oconee, so looking forward to some fine times. Just wondering if there is a best time of the day (or night) for crappie fishing? Lake water here is usually pretty stained I believe. Thanks!
Ive always had the best luck from first light till a couple hours after and between sunset and 2 hours before.
Thats kind of what I was suspecting.... thanks for the info!
Caught this guy last week, about a 1/2 hour before sunset. Just caught the one, but it was nice...

Welcome aboard.
I think there are probably many different times for different days, weather, time of year, etc, etc, etc.
For me personally, I've found it best over the last 2 years to set a time that I have available and go at that time. If not
I could talk myself out of going due to the weather or come up with other things to do around the house.
I only get to fish 1 day a week and I've found that I stand a better chance of catching if I'm on the water as opposed to being in the garage.

Welcome from Alabama. They typically bite better 15 minutes before I get there and 15 minutes after I leave.
