Nice report. Decent condition to be fishing in. Consider yourself fortunate. I'm still looking at frozen water!
Yesterday was a beautiful day here in S.W. Missouri. Started out a bit cool in the mid to upper 30's so I didn't get started real early. I fished in and around the Springfield, Mo area hitting the James Rive near the Hyw. 60 bridge, My usual spot below the dam for Lake Springfield, in Springfield Lake Park at the old boat ramp near the boat hous, and a new place to me Water Mill Park. In the James River I caught one little bass in 2 hrs with no other bites, Nothing either below the dam area as the water was high and moving quite fast and not even a nibble by
the boat house. Decided to try a new place that is supposed to have crappie as well as bass cats as well as several sunfishes. I had no strikes on artificial's no matter what I did. I had about a dozen minnows left so I tried them and caught five bass four of which were about 8 1/2" and one that was in the slot limit at 13". Now this new pond has no boats or floating devises allowed for getting of shore, so everyone is stuck on shore. They do have two little covered piers that go out about 20' from shore.
It was a beautiful day, even with a south east breeze that switched to dead east, Blowing from south east to north west and east to west, Temp hit 65 here with the Baro. pres. hovering at 30,12. Water felt cold, didn't have a thermometer so didn't know what the water temp. was. All fish caught was caught at ten foot deep. No depth finder so not sure how deep the waster was. I had float stop set at 10', two foot past the rod but on my 10' BnM crappie pole.

Nice report. Praying for warmer temps here. Hovering around freezing during the day. The one year I need ice fishing gear is the year I sell it all. Sat in my garage for 10 years.
Sounds like you did some traveling.

Hanr3 I put about 30 miles on the truck and never left town..lol. Didn't mind so much as it was a beautiful day, and I did get the bonus of feeling the pull that stretched the line tight..
