All of you southern folk that are fishing the shallows for spawning crappie take a moment and think of us up north , getting our boats ready....even though it is probably still a month before we can use them to start the hunt.
Here are som pics from this morning looking south from my house.

The river in the pic is the border between Canada and Us ( the water is high right now so you can't see it)
On the up side this is the second time that we have seen the sun in a month

Birddog,
I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.
Hey ken I feel for ya. We just got a lot cooler blast here in southern IL went from high 60's to the 40's over night. I was wearing shorts on the lake yesterday catchin crappie. Now I have a long sleeve shirt on and long pants with a jacket outside. And the winds are howlling with strong gusts.

Here in North Carolina its gonna get as low as 25 this weekend, and we were at 86 yesterday. There fish around here are going crosseyed. Oh yea and what about my poor flowers .I have got a lot of covering to do
Here in Ky it was 86 degrees yesterday and 37 today with 17 mph winds. We had golf ball size hail with 60-70 mph winds. The trees are stripped of what leaves they had and the wife's flowers are trashed. But, it could have been worse!! We were lucky in a sense compared to what others have been thru..
