Before you drop it into the lake - send it to me -- newer chips will not work in my old HB and it will not record waypoints without one
Are they compatible? I've got a Lakemaster card that I use in my console unit while driving and I move it to my bow unit while fishing. I know me very well, and I know what's going to happen. It's going to wind up in the lake....
Weiss Lake isn't mapped on the Lakemaster card. Not a detailed map anyway, but it's supposed to be on the Navionics card.
Thought about getting a Navionics card to use in one unit and use the Lakemaster in the other.
If the units are networked, will that cause a problem, or is the Navionics card even compatible with the Helix units?

Both cards work on the older units. Some had a slot for both cards and you could switch left or right and use either one. Not
sure on the new units. I know most only have one slot for a mini card. I updated a 788 last year and it took away that option.
I had to take the Lake Master out to get it to read the Navionics card.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Here is a guide for Navionics card comparable units. I use Navionics on my Helix Mega 9 but also have 4-5 lakes downloaded on,single cards of Lakemaster in Indiana as most our resivours and a couple of large lakes aren’t available on Lakemaster and why? I have no idea as Lakemaster as 50 acre lakes on theirs and several in Indiana not on their card.

Hummingbird chart select for single lake downloads. For each lake, you need a single card to install it on. So for example, 4 lakes downloaded you would need 4 cards. https://www.humminbird.com/learn/mapping/chartselect. I bought a bunch of 8 mg cards of amazon for really dirt cheap or eBay even and also use them as well in my trail cams.

I ordered another Lakemaster card. I think it's a newer update from the one I have. Now I won't lose $120 in the bottom of the lake.
