They look great. Maybe someday I'll start tying my own.
I tie jigs for a hobby and my personal (and friends) use. Poured and painted the heads and tied these. Hope the picture loads.

They look great, good luck with the crappie on them
They look pretty good to me Sandwitch Maker. I just get the RR heads when I want to tie some up for personal use.
I have seen some for sale lately somewhere that were horse heads.
Not only do they look good, they catch fish! Thanks Sandwichmaker for the jigs. We are getting lots of rain here in North Texas, Lavon may just fill up in time for a good spawn.

Hey Sandwich...very impressive...do you find that you save quite a bit doing it yourself or do you mainly do it cuz you enjoy it ? Really nice looking jigs though !

Can't say those wouldn't slaughter west coast salmon because they really look like they would. Nice work!

whackmaster, I pour them for a hobby and I like to experiment with different hook sizes and styles. Pretty well settled in on VMC gold hooks for the RR type heads. Plus, I can paint any color I want instead of relying on the factory colors.
I sent Jerry Hancock (see above reply) some to play with and it was great to hear that he caught a lot of fish on them. Of course, Jerry is to East Texas like Jerry Blake is on this board. He and his partner, Paul, are 2 of the premier guides and tournament fishermen in the Metroplex area. He could probably catch fish with dirt for bait. Heh heh!!

Sandwichmaker,
really nice job. Professional looking threads!
Now go and catch a few but save some for the rest of us. Yes, tying your own jigs is great fun and relaxing.
