White Perch on Harris

Had a chance to fish Harris some this morning. Started catching a lot of perch and saw lots of fish on the screen. Guy I was with had a throw net and decided to see what was in the water below us. As you can see, lots of perch. This was just one cast. We caught some larger ones on rod and reel, but the net only caught these small ones.

They are the tastiest fish on the lake in my opinion. I usually keep and eat all I of those I catch even the small ones.

I was thinking of doing the exact same thing and recently bought a cast net. Question - What are the regulations regarding using them like that?

You're not suppose to catch gamefish with a net. But when casting for baitfish you end up getting some occasional gamefish you have to shake out of the net.
