Default High Rock 1st Time pulling Cranks

Went this morning with intentions of not getting skunked 1st time ever pulling crankbaits took my nephew with me as he had never been crappie fishing. Got some kinks to work out but I dont know if it was beginner's luck or just a good day of fishing. JIG PULLER I see what you mean when you said the wind was brutal yesterday, today was no better we ended up with

    23 crappie all over 9"
    2 white bass
    1 catfish
2 crappie that got away (1) was over 2lbs on a 12ft rod and he thought he had moby dick on the line he was horsing it in like a bass and the paper mouth pulled loose. You thought I punched him straight in the gut and he wanted to cry but got it worked out and got the rest in.

Only lost one crankbait as my nephew was setting the rods out he forgot to stop the reel and had over 400ft of line in the water.

All in all it was a great dayName: 20180708_101546.jpeg

Thanks capps. I was tickled just catching fish i only reeled in 2 lol. I let him reel in the rest i was watching what was going on trying to learn something on this new to me madness. I would have been good with 3 or 4 today lol but seeing him having a ball was well worth the trip

I've been to HR twice with crakbaits and have only caught 1 crappie each time. So you did WAY better than me!
