I’m under the impression that the thermocline doesn’t develop on all lakes.? If current is present, it may provide more mixing of the water.? I have never been able to see a definitive thermocline on Ft Loudoun on my sonar.
Hi everybody, so first, I'm in Middle Tennessee. What surface temps do you see when you expect to have a thermocline? I know it depends on the depth a little too. My lake gets to 80+ ft in the main channel. 40 and less in the creeks.
Thanks!

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
I fish a similar reservoir here in NC. The surface water temp was 82 Monday evening and there was a definite thermocline at about 25'.
All lakes don’t develop a thermocline. If you are talking about JPP I’m not sure...haven’t fished it in a long time.
