why in the world would you even try,common sense should dictate that you stay off until things calm down and clear up a bit, more then likely a unnecessary loss of life its a shame.
Sorry to post this but thought I would as a kayaker is now missing on the flatrock river near Columbus. It’s crazy to get on these rivers right now as high as they are especially by yourself as this 26 yr old guy did. You cannot trust small flooded rivers with all the debris in them. Also if you are even going to kayak at least leave a written plan of where your going with someone. Sorry to post this but maybe it will educate someone.

They have found the kayak but not him.
And sorry to say, they had to call the search off at 11 am today cause it was too dangerous cause of high water.

Wow. My condolences to the family. Only reiterates the need to have a plan. I always tell my wife where I'm gonna be when I go..and there's a map on the fridge of the lakes I fish...bc ya never know it only takes a second and it's all over
