Used to fish Cole Camp Creek alot years ago. It was good then and I presume it is still good. Covered with good habitat for the crappie. Spend time to learn the best docks and concentrate on those till you figure it out. Shouldn't take long.
Hi guys, I have a couple of questions for you LOZ crappie killers. Do any of you guys fish the area? If so how is the fishing in the creek? I just bought a postage stamp lot down there so figure I should start fishing it and was wondering if I would do any good. Thanks guys/gals

Good to know, I wonder how the winter crappie fishing in it is up stream. Looks like a good creek to kayak or take a John boat up stream and fish.

Back when they didn't draw the lake down so far the fishing in Cole Camp was alot better. That extra 2-3' of water makes big difference.
Good to know, I only grabbed the lot because it was cheap and right by a boat ramp. I don’t normally fish lake of the ozarks from a boat because of all the crazy people but figured it would be pretty calm up there.

We bought a place on the creek late last summer, so I don't have a lot of info on it. However, it seemed pretty good off our dock, but it was not as consistent as I'd like. I didn't get the big boat out but did fish out of a yak quite a bit. Weekends can have some traffic, especially close to the mouth, but upstream it isn't too bad. And all of the boaters I've run across while in the yak have been very considerate.
Right now, with the water down, our immediate area is really shallow--to the point that I've not fished it since the ice left. I did see a few bluegills darting around the shallows last week, so I think the fish are somewhat active. Wish I had more info for you, but that won't come until later this year.
I appreciate all of the information, glad to hear it’s not too crazy upstream in the summer. I’m probably close to as far up as most boaters go.

Is that ramp public?
Dang that's way down in the hollar, spring and fall bite will start a lot earlier compared to the mid and lower lake area.
"In my father's house are many mansions..." John 14:2
The ramp is only for people that own property in the little development.
