Be safe and good luck fishing

I too like lots of colors but I would need a suit case to carry em in. Where we go in winter there is only a couple of colors that work 90 percent of the time. So winter my bag consist of a medicine bottle of jig heads two packages one each of the two colors bottle of nibbles two rods ( Incase of breakage or line malfunction) pliers and 2 pair of gloves Incase one gets wet $.02 worth

I use cod liver oil, available at my local pharmacy. I think the fish smell helps.

Great tips, so funny because I just last year decided to start pre-rigging my double hook rigs because of break offs and having to waste time setting up a rod while missing another fish. I also store my long crappie rods on the ceiling, keeps me from breaking them or having to break them down all the time.
Since I was a kid ( a long time ago as I am 70 y.o. now) It is a trick my daddy taught me when fishing for Bluefish in salt water.
Not in the least.
I bought a pint bottle 18 years ago when I moved here and still have about 1/2 bottle left. I carry a small plastic bottle with a flip cap on it to put some on my flipping jigs when bass fishing. It is VERY oily so keep a rag close by to wipe your hands if you get too much on them. Sometimes it is hard to hold onto the smaller plastic jig bodies because it is so oily.
