    Default Truman April 12th-15th

We will be heading to Truman the April 12th-15th and I am in the process of getting things ready. Do you have any suggestions of must have baits or set-ups for this time of year. We will be heading out of the Long Shoal Marina area. Any help will be appreciated.

That should be a good time to be on the lake. I fish Truman a couple days a week. There should be fish at all depths by then. Right now black and char. and red and char. are the ticket. If you will shoot out another post closer to time somebody will point you in the right direction.

As suggested I am giving this a bump now that we are closer. We will be down Thursday - Sunday. The forecast shows some pretty strong winds for most of the time also. Once again looking for any suggestions.
    Thanks

Looks like you should stay dry Thursday and Sunday.

I will be headed that way next Tuesday, the 17th. Feels a little early but I remember wearing my bibs last year, and my raingear some. Will be staying at Clinton probably fishing out of Bucksaw mainly. If anyone sees a white Triton 176mag. say hi. Hope the fish are doing something by then. Dave

We came down last year during the middle of March and though we would push back the trip a couple of weeks in hopes of better weather. That definetly has not been the case. Are there any reports for Truman or below the dam?

Try Bucksaw Marina for a weekly report, also Sterret creek marina, and The Station Bait and Tackle which is usually on Aroundthelake.com. You might even call the Station, the lady there has been very nice to us. I would lean towards the guys on here for more accurate information. Good luck. Dave

I do already check those sites and as the season get along they update them more often. I was hoping to get more up to date information from the guys on here before we leave tomorrow. Thanks for the advice.
