    Default Transplanting Bamboo?

Has anyone ever tried to get a new patch of bamboo to grow somewhere else. I was thinking about getting a couple of places started in case I ever loose my source that I have now.
I wonder what type of area I should look for, how much sunlight is required, ect. I guess I just dig up some roots or runners?

Yes ,:D we planted the patch down by the lake. It does best in full sun and plenty of moisture. Don't plant roots too deep. Warning it spreads quickly and tough to erradicate.

Excellant question. I have wondered the same thing.
